Fuselage2
1951 ShopSmith with sanding drum.
An interesting part of constructing a KR is the need to "scarf" plywood.  In essence, this creates a very "flat" angle on each piece of plywood giving a very broad surface for the epoxy creating a very strong joint.
Fuselage sides are now built and it is time to build the banana boat.
Clamping and tweaking the curves are all part of getting the thing in a proper shape.
Then come the larger pieces of spruce to support the firewall and engine.
All ready for the vertical stabilizer post.
Bottom skin installed, veritical stabilizer post installed, and she's a boat.
Flip it over and voila....she's ready to go flying...well, maybe a little more work left to do.
