40 HOUR SEMINAR FOR WATER REFILLING STATION OPERATORS/OWNERS
May 21 to 25, 2007 Gerry's Grill, Calasiao, Pangasinan
The Calasiao Water Refiller Association, in cooperation with the Center for Health Development for Ilocos and the Municipal Health Office of Calasiao, sponsored a 40-Hour Seminar for owners and operators of water refilling stations from various parts of the province of Pangasinan. The seminar is a requirement for the operations of water refilling stations in compliance with the Safe Water provisions of P.D. 856 or the Code of Sanitation of the Philippines as well as a requirement by the World Health Organization to ensure the safety and potability of water products being sold in water outlets.
Engr. Ashley Antonio, the Sanitary Engineer from the CHD-Ilocos led the team of resource speakers for the seminar. Present also were Dr. Ed Moniz and Mr. Frncisco "Isko"/"Chiz" de Vera.
Officers and members of the Calasiao Water Refiller Association, headed by Engr. Jackson Ong, were all present and supportive of the seminar they initiated and sponsored for the benefit of other refilling stations.
