However there is no external sound source present.Tinnitus gets its name from Latin meaning ringing of the bell. People who suffer from tinnitus report hearing sounds such as hissing, whistling, chirping, clicking, roaring, whooshing, ocean waves, pulsing, buzzing and so on.
