This is a page about me.... You really want to know?? lol So I will tell you about myself... the wife, the mother, the friend and the teacher.

I'm South African... proudly South African! I was born there and my heart will always be there. Right now, we are living in Brazil (where the nuts come from!). It certainly has been a dramatic change for me and my family... language, culture, a whole new way of life. One day, I'll complete my Brazil pages, but in the meantime, do click on the links and take a look at some photos I've taken. They're not your usual tourist type photos, just my observations of life here in general. Brazil is genuinely a beautiful country.

I have been married for 17 years now. I remember when we first got married, friends and family said it wouldn't last... did we prove them wrong or what?! Jorge, we'll still grow old together and watch our garden grow from the front porch.

I'm mom to Tatiana, the pride and joy of my life. I could not have wished for a more loving, beautiful, talented and intelligent daughter. Tatiana has dreamt of working with animals some day since she was a tot. And she will achieve her dream. I have no doubts about it. Tat is also a fantastic story writer. I've put a couple of her earlier stories online, written a year ago. They're well worth reading, so do pop in at
her site - she did it herself - and browse around. Please sign her guest book while you're there too.

I want to take this opportunity (so formal, huh?!) of thanking all my internet friends for the fun, laughter, love and support they give me day after day. I especially want to thank my Gyms friends. You're the best friends I could have asked for. In fact, you're all much more than friends... you're my family... I love you all!!
I can't believe how rich I am in friendship... all friends I have never seen in 'real' life, but who are more real to me than the people I face every day.

Right now, I teach English as a foreign language to children and professionals in Brazil. I also teach my daughter. For me, this whole teaching thing has been a learning curve too. It still surprises me that I can have anything valuable to offer these people, but I do have something... a legacy from my grandmother who taught me to ''speak properly if you're going to speak at all". Home schooling is not easy, but it has the advantage that I get to spend loads of time with my daughter. What more could a mom ask for?

Well, I'll leave you to browse my site then.... don't expect perfection. I was called 'eclectic' :) Yep! That's me! My site reflects who I am. I couldn't bear it all being the same... there are so many nice things out there........

Thank for visiting. Do sign my guest book. I would love to hear from you!
