Scared Laddu:
Any item offered to the Lord turns into prasadam. It is considered scared. Partaking it
is believed to relieve ond of all his sins and bestow complete blessing of the Lord. The laddu, a
kind of sweet, offered to the Lord is the most precious to the piligrims visiting Tirumala. It is
made under hygiene conditions at the temple kitchen, also called Padipotu. About one lakh laddus
are prepared here per day.
The prasadam is made available to all devotees after darshan. Those having free darswhan
will be given small laddus. Piligrims can purchase laddu tokens on payment of Rs.10 and obtain
the prasadam at the laddu counter in the queue complex. There are no restrictions on the sale of
laddus. Prasadams other than laddu like vada, appam, gilebi, dosa, poli and sukha are also given
to those whose perform special rituals. Piligrims can also have laddus on paid Sudharshana
tokens. One laddu is given on Rs.40 token, two on Rs,50 and three Rs.60 tokens.
Accommodation at Tirumala:
After introducing the Sudharshan token system, the hardships of pilgrims have come down
drastically as they can move around instead of waiting in the closed queue compartments.
Accommodation in Tirumala is limited as cottages and chowltries can provide shelter to around
25,000 people only. As has been said, accommodation at Tirumala may be obtained after the arrival
at the CRO. For those who have obtained the Sudharshanam token and intend to wait for their turn
in Tirupati, the TTD is offering accomodation at its Padmavathi Guest House,1 and 2 Chowltreies
behind the railway station. The TTD,s SRinivasam is also getting ready near the RTCbus station.
These apart, there are a number of private hotels and lodges.
Advance reservation: For cottages, pilgrims can reserve by sending DDs to the Executive

Accommoadation with donor slips:
Donors of cottatge and guest houses or their representatives can stay in their respective
accomodation for 60 days in a year. They have to reserve the accomodation 10 days in advance by
sending donor slips with the signature of those who have donated funds. They should write to the
Superintendent of the particular cottage counter indicating the date from which accomadation is
required. Rambagicha II (TBC Counter), RAmbagicha I & III and Varahagiri Guesthouse (ARP
Counter), Narayanagoiri and MBC (MBC Counter),Padmavathy cottages(padmavathy
Counter),ANC,SNC,HVC,GNC,SMC and ATC (general Counter at Central Reception Office-CRO). Those who
avail of the cottage facility with donor slips need not pay rental charges. However,20 percent
of the rentr will be collected towards maintenance.
