The Big Day Out has been wonderful to TISM. It taught us how to behave like a real band. Instead of being nice to people who aren't famous, or offering to pay for our backstage Lentil Canapes, we learned that,when your singer has a sore throat. you get all the air-conditioning in the entire showgrounds turned off, despite the 40 degree heat, like Soundgarden did. Or ban all the other bands from using the road into the backstage area because it's YOUR road - like the Ramones did. And TISM would like to apologise to all the Big Day Out audiences for inciting them to forget about being angry.
