Danny Fritsche, 6-1 195 F, Sarnia Sting
Scouting: A player that i've watched more than any other on the site.. Danny is a very gifted offensive player.. Exceptional breakaway speed, is among the fastest players in the OHL.. As soon as he gets the puck will rush up the ice to create a chance.. Traditionally will take the puck to the outside and around the goal even though he has excellent puckhandling skills and could deke out many defenders.. Should learn to keep his head up while flying up the ice as i've seen him get decked several times and it's led to a couple minor injuries.. In the NHL if he does this it will lead to major injuries.. Is a very good playmaker who can find players open easily.. Must improve his decision making as he will sometimes pass when he has a good shot or shoot when there is a open guy.. Could be more usefull if he slowed down at times and took time to make a decision.. This will come with time.. Has a booming shot.. Is always dangerous with the puck.. Danny is giving a good effort in the defensive zone and is a very dangerous scoring threat on the penalty kill.. Is fairly physical skating around dishing out hits although his hits aren't very effective and ussually he is the one hitting the ice instead of his opponents.. Could be more effective if he used more of his energy to create plays.. This has also led to injuries this season.. Overall is a solid prospect.
