Open a new
image  400x250
(unimportant).
On the materials palette start with the foreground tab
and choose the black circle do the same for the background
Click the rectangle and choose two greens for each the
foreground stroke a lighter green then the background
| Ensure that the
texture box is unchecked for both. Your settings
should look like this when all done. |

Locate your paint brush 
Make sure
the tool options palette is visible , if it is not press F4 on
your keyboard. Choose the following settings 
Then click on your canvas and begin painting by
holding down the left button on your mouse and scooby doo you have
easy grass. 
You
could build a christmas tree template or a christmas wreath or garland
and experiment with sizes and colour. Infact nearer Christmas I
