BEHIND THE SCENES |
Where was Titanic Filmed? -Titanic was filmed in western Mexico in a huge lot and oceanside lake. How Long did filming take? -It took nine months to film the movie, but in all, 34 months to complete the movie: including construction, filming, and editing. What Made James Cameron want to make Titanic? -From what I gather, Jim Cameron is a Titanic-buff, so naturally, he wanted to make a movie out of her. How Many People were Involved in Making the Movie? -There was approxamately 7,177 people involved with making the movie. There could be more, I'm not entirely sure, hence, approxamately. There was actors, stunt people, filming crew, editing crew, construction crew, wrecking crew, lifegaurds, oceanographers, costume people, you name it-they were there! How did they re-create all the sets historically? -Through heavy research! They had copies of the origanal Titanic's designs and blueprints, so they created a scale model of the ship (several of them actually, all different sizes). The blueprints included what every room looked like, and photographs from 1912 helped, too. The also took several dives to the wreck site, photographed it, and pieced through the pictures to create models of the wreck site. They went to the origanal furnishers of the Titanic to furnish the sets. |
