| Vast distances separate the many and varied
intelligences of the Hyperuniverse. There are non-technological races and masters of superscience and the inexplicible so there are limited interactions overall. A Civilization can be motivated by survival or by a belief system or more likely it may be incomprehensible to us. The Wisenotwise mention a few of the unique ones they are in contact with. THE TRUEBEARS A spacefaring race they seek forms of glass among the stars. No spoken or written language exists. Indiviuals of this race are considered insane but in groups concensus leads to progress. First use of Principles of Seemlessness - 3.2 millions of years...... VUNCRELL' THA The Empire of the Vun'tha is known to be the oldest ciivilation in our Galaxy. They prefer small red suns and cold dark planets. It is certain that they are very longlived and enjoy a funny story. They are a handsome species somewhat like a long badger with a hardshell. The Wisenotwise of the Planet Helium note that they are a transdimensional race in that their Empire exists in several. GEA-MOUR-NAL A curious aquatica species noted for building starships out of overlapping fields of force. Individuals are large multitentacled with armored shells. Two or more may join to form new bodytypes.....Biological rarity! Shifting gene patterns at will. A pattern emerges. Large intelligent species are in fact evolving in a sphere of space centered on a known fracture of space-time. Normal probabilities for complex life resume away from this region. THE CORIG VANE A civilization of enormous power in the physical and the Metaphysical. One could imagine great and powerful Wizards commanding Universe spanning StarCruisers...They have committed to J'larii. They have engaged the Ghosts Manifiest in direct combat. THE KIN Knowledge and strength of character in this race are esteemed. Beautiful cities are built and then dedicated to some art or science. They are the most reknown explorers in all Hyperspace. It is reported they have even met one of the HighRaces. They appear to be pure human and explain the existence of cats and dogs in 46 galaxies. There is certainly a time paradox here since they are at least 40 millions of years old as a culture. |
