Candle In The Window Once, I read a story That told there was no light In any window, long ago, On that first Christmas night. So, I decided to light a candle As Christmas day draws near. I'll put it in my window To welcome my Jesus, here. Should He pass by my window, The weary Christ would see That, when I wrapped the presents And put decorations on the tree ... I stopped and took a minute To light a candle for Him, To say, "You're welcome here, Lord," In case he should pass my inn. © 2002 by Claytia Doran bbabe@cox-internet.com |
