FROM ACROSS THE POND From across the pond the tiger roars Wounded un-sheaths his mighty claws. Reverberations ripple a turbulent tide Whilst jackals run and jackals hide. Towers that toppled like grains of sand The dead have not need to understand Needless slaughter and needless tears, On God sees and one God hears. Like a tiger hurt and maimed, Passions fevered, wrath inflamed Walks the world on giant paws, Walks the world of senseless wars. Vengeance looking for an aim, Must rid the lands of hate and blame, Yet above this vale of pain and fears, One God sees and one God hears.
