Title:    MUSIC BINGO

Objectives:     Allow for increased reality based thinking, an enjoyment and appreciation of different types of music, increased attention span and appropriate social interaction.

Discription:     Using special MUSIC bingo cards described below.  Each client has a card and markers, just like a regularbingo game.  The MUSIC dice is rolled, and the letter facing up is called.  Then the facilitator plays a 30 seconds of a song from a prerecorded tape, various CDs or singing with a guitar or piano.  The group decides if the song is "Rock & Roll", "Country", "Jazz", "Hip Hop" or "Classical".  Then that corresponding space on the cards are covered.  Example:  An S is rolled, then the song "Rock and Roll All Night by KISS is played.  The facilitator would call out after discussion, "S - Rock & Roll".

Items Needed: Link to example of MUSIC Bingo card.
Pre-recorded tape of the above different types of music, CDs of the above music or sheet music and accompaning instrument.  Buttons or some sort of markers to use to cover squares on cards.  Prizes.

Size:  Depending on amount of MUSIC Bingo cards you have made..
Title: MUSIC PICTIONARY

Objectives:   Increased of attention span, to have fun, cognitive exercise and increase creative skills.

Discription:   Using the rules of Pictionary but the clues are modified using song titles.  Split the group up into teams, one person from the first team picks a card and on a chalk board, dry erase board or large paper, draws what is on the card without giving verbal clues.  That team has a certian amount of time to guess the clue.  If they do not guess the clue in the given time then the other team gets one chance to guess the answer.  The team that guesses the answer gets one point.  Teams alternate in drawing, and the first to get to 20 wins. For example if a card says "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", the person drawing could draw a rainbow and an arrow going over it, etc.  Numbers, letters and symbols should not be drawn as clues.

Items Needed:
Made up cards with a song title on each card.  Timer or watch, and large area for drawing.  Some song titles to use:  somewhere over the rainbow, I'm looking over a four leaf clover, down in the valley, raindrops keep falling on my head, the rose, daisy, bicycle built for two, down by the riverside, he's got the whole world in his hands, I've been working on the railroad, on top of old smokey, twinkle twinkle little star, you are my sunshine, etc....
