Grandma Taylor
Grandma, for weeks
I saw you sinking,
and I watched you fade away.
My heart was fully broken,
you fought so hard to stay.
I wasn't by your side,
when you drew your final breath,
No farewell words were spoken,
no time to say goodbye,
you were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.
My heart still aches in sadness,
and secret tears still flow,
what it meant to lose you,
no one will ever know.

Please give the page time to load...
Let us remember death is not the end,
but the beginning. As the sun sets
in our world, the sun is just rising
for others.
Grandma, they  say memories are golden,
Well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.

A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place,
no one could ever fill.
Grandpa, you always had a gentle hand,
for you were a caring man.

Your loving face and patience smile,
With fond memories I recall.
You had a kind word for each,
And died beloved by all.

You are not forgotten Grandpa,
Nor will you ever be.
As long as my  life lasts,
I will remember thee.

I miss you now my heart is sore,
As time goes by, I miss you more.
Your loving smile, your gentle face,
No one can ever take your place.
Grandpa, you won't be forgotten by Don and I,
You touched our lives deeply
and we refuse to say goodbye.
It's you that we love,
It's you that we miss,
and we both pray
that you have finally found bliss.

I want to thank each of you for all
of the life lessons that you have taught me.
Sometimes I see your face and your memory I cannot erase.
I have a terrible disease, although I'm fighting it with ease.
It's a fact of life,
I was unable to be a mother,
although I am a good wife.
We are watching over Mom and Dad,
they live close to me,
I know how proud you would be.
They are both in good health,
and that is worth more than wealth.
Grandpa Taylor, Dad grows the best tomatoes,
And Grandpa Redding I'm still cooking your receipe for potatoes.
When I recall all of the memories and what each one of you meant to me, I can never forget you because you were the best Grandparents there could ever be......
The angels came and took you away,
I guess they needed someone special that day.
I didn't know you when you were in your right mind,
but I think of you all the time.
If you're wondering if I'm there,
heres's where you can start,
take a look deep inside your heart.
Dad says I got my love for animals from you,
a little puppy sure helps when your feeling blue.
I feel that I  got to know you well,
when Dad gave me a letter that was really swell.
You had written it in years passed,
my memories of you will always last.
It was like we were talking face to face,
it could have only been by God's grace.
I know your'e watching me fron Heaven up above,
so today and everyday I send you all my love.
My heart will always be broken,
my life will never be whole,
till I meet you again on
God's golden shore.
