Welcome to my Victorian pages, a time when ladies were truly ladies and men were gentlemen. Although by looking at some of the old photographs of Victorians in the glory of days gone by...one might think that by the looks on their faces that they never had any fun at all. This is simply not true. The Victorians had alot of fun. There were typical games such as backgammon, chess, checkers and cards. But the more exiciting games were normally played at parties. I will list a few of them for you, who knows you may want to try one out at your next party.......
There was a time and place for everything, and an etiquette manual to instruct one on the proper way to do almost anything.
Women had a certain elegance about them. They were to construct themselves in a proper manner at all times.
