The Xackerback

I grabbed my slape and retizoo
And headed out to Timbuktu:
The Xackerback was on attack
Eating people as a snack,
Heroes felled and slayers slain
Tears were falling as the rain.

...

Stay tuned... the Xackerback will be updated shortly.

An Experiment

  Instead of our sight.
  To use our vision
  To make us think
  Something out of the ordinary
  Because sometimes it takes
Written after a recent camping expedition to wild wooly mountains of the Poconos.
Going Camping
©2002 Thomas Farren

Going camping in the wilderness,
Going hiking in the hills;
Don’t forget my air mattress,
Or my sleeping pills.

Hoping for the trees to shade
And the birds to chirp;
Instead I shivered by the car
As my buddy burped.

Going camping in the wilderness,
Going hiking in the hills;
Nature sided highway lanes
With shrieking brakes so shrill.

Hoping for the trees to shade
And the birds to chirp;
But Chinaman in three piece suit
Played techno for the Earth.

Going camping in the wilderness,
Going hiking in the hills;
NASCAR white smuggled alcohol,
Was drunk off Jethro Tull.

Hoping for the trees to shade
And the birds to chirp;
But the ugly girl gnoodled me
And scared me into church.

Going camping in the wilderness,
Going hiking in the hills;
I think for nature’s peace and quiet
I’ll go sit in corner swills.

Hoping for the trees to shade
And the birds to chirp;
We pitched tents in a sardine can
And pooped in God’s green dearth.

I went camping, I went hiking,
I looked for birds from the south,
But good friends cooked the campfire food
So you could put it in your mouth.
