| When you are running an organization it is easy to feel like you are leading your people well, because they more or less are compelled to obey your direction. However, when you are leading a voluntary organization, as you are here, you get to see whether your leadership skills are effective. LOOK at our growth, FEEL the magic of the meetings, SEE the
dvancement of your club and the struggles and victories that we are pushing through. Then

As luck would have it, the meeting location was just around the corner from home! Yes, I call it luck. Lucky for me because I met a group of very diverse people who were warm, funny, and welcoming. Lucky because at the first meeting I was encouraged to participate and be a part of what was happening. Lucky that the Thomas Jefferson Toastmasters group was composed of so many different personalities, backgrounds, and interests that everyone fits in! (More, click here>>>>) ---Rebecca Bryant, CTM I have only been through a few of the meetings, but I can happily say that not only have my expectations been met but exceeded in ways I had not anticipated. For instance, I found that the format in Toastmasters promotes learning from each other. I’ve learned something new each time from each of the other members in a very positive way. While the program is very structured and practical, we progress in a very nurturing and non-threatening environment.
