This is an entrance view of our Rabbitry
Welcome to Our Rabbitry! Come on in and let us show you around...
As you walk in the gate, turn to the right, and you will be in our "Tent" as our son calls it. :-) It holds 3 large Flemish hutches and our Flemish grooming table. It's covered by a tarp, thus getting the name "tent."
Then turn to the left and you will be in our 12 X 24 barn that was constructed of all used material except for the rafters.
This is another barn view. Notice the sawdust floors. It looks much nicer than a plain floor and it helps keep the barn cool in the summer.
This is a view of cages hanging in our barn. We have 20 holes for our Fuzzies in here.
If you walk straight ahead when you come through the gate, you will go into our "Canopy" which we bought at Sam's Club that you normally park cars under. Here is where we have our Mini-rex and storage for our cariers.
If you take a slight left, you will go out under the shade trees where our Flemish hutches are. It's nice and cool out here. (For those of you wondering, that burgandy building is my son's pigeon house.) :-)
This is one of our 14 foot hutches. It has 3 large holes in it.
The floors in here are wooden slats that's spaced 5/8" apart so poop falls through.
This is a view of a Lt Gray doe and her babies in the 14' long hutch. Flemish need lots of room to move around, especially with babies.
This is what I call "Feeding Time." My husband came up with the idea of building a feed trough for the does with litters so everybody could fit at the feeder. Is he smart, or what???
The music you hear playing in the background is "Kumbayah", meaning Come by here.
