    Seminar:
To all fellow Martial Art Instructors,

Some of you may not know me, my name is David Chastell I am a recognised IAOMAS instructor. I am writing to invite all instructors to teach on or attend an upcoming multi style Martial Art and Self-Defence weekend seminar (Friday through Sunday) later this year. We would further like to invite any of your students to participate in this seminar. There is a 'money back' system in place. Therefore instructors will be paid for EACH student that attends. What this means is if you bring 10 students along you will receive payment for each of your students as well as students from OTHER schools / systems.

We would like for as many different styles to be represented at this seminar, it is our aim to bring the Martial Arts world closer together and enable each student and instructor to experience a range of different styles without having to go to go through extensive training. There is not a set date for the seminar but it is expected to be some time in late October or early November. Gradings will be held in various styles as well as Self-Defence all grades will be recognised by the Street Wise Self Defence Association (swsda).

At present we have the following instructors confirmed:

VERY SPECIAL Guest Soke Andrew Morrell 7th Dan Karate / Kick Boxing: Founder of Cobra FMA. Sensei David Chastell 1st Dan Self-Defence / Judo: founder of the SWSDA Sensei Sam Williams 2nd Dan Judo (Olympic team member) Sifu Kev Philips Jeet Kune Do Instructor (Provisionally Booked) Sensei Mark Smith 3rd Dan Shotokan Karate (Provisonally Booked)

However, we need more instructors and students to make this event happen as stated you will receive payment for EACH student in the seminar and further payment if you teach. It is also possible to stay at the training Hall if you should need to do so, however, there are a number of B+B's near by. As an instructor you will NOT be charged for attending, and if you teach a rebate will be paid to you. We are desperately seeking ESCRIMA, WING CHUN, THAI BOXING, TAE KWON DO and AIKIDO Instructors to teach on this course. If you are an instructor of an above art please get in touch. We would also like to confirm a JEET KUNE DO instructor who specialises in GRAPPLING for the Sunday session if you are or know of anyone PLEASE get in touch.

On Sunday it is proposed that there is a grading of various styles If you would like to have your students graded this can be arranged. If assistance is needed for either the grading or the Grading Panel we can help to arrange this as well.

The planned 'layout' for the seminar is as follows:

Friday: Welcome to all the students and introduction of Instructors to be followed by Striking Arts seminars i.e. Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Wing Chun, Thai Boxing etc. after a welcome drinks reception and explanation of the purpose of this seminar.

Saturday: (Morning) Grappling arts i.e. Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Aikido (Afternoon) Weapons i.e. Kobaton and Escrima (if an Instructor is found)

Sunday: Self-Defence seminar, Gradings in Traditional Arts and if called for Self-Defence. After this a fare well and thanks 'party' with Drinks and snacks.

The expected cost per student will be £15 per day or £35 for the full three days training (booked and paid in advanced); this includes insurance, Kobaton and a quality colour certificate of attendance (these will be paid for by the students' fees instructor's payments will also be deducted from fees). If paid on the day the cost will be £20 per day or £50 for three days training.

This truly is a no-strings attached, non political, non ego event. The SWSDA is for promoting all styles of Self-Defence based arts. Anyone attending this course will certainly benefit from the experience be they a sixth Kyu or a sixth Dan.
