
		TKM College of Engineering, Kollam was established in the year 1958 by the late Sri. A. Thangal Kunju Musaliar, a leading philanthropist and industrialist of Kerala. The foundation stone was laid by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the then President of India on third February 1956. The college was formally declared open on 3rd July 1956 by Prof. Humayun Kabir, the then Minister for Scientific Research & Cultural Affairs, Government of India. This is the first Government aided private Engineering Col lege in Kerala State and is affiliated to the University of Kerala. All the courses conducted in the institution has the approval of the A.I.C.T.E. Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering has been a trend setter in the field of Technical Education in Kerala.

These web pages are hosted by the alumni of the prestigious T.K.M. College of Engineering, Kollam, Kerala, India with the intension of providing the alumni, prospective alumni(students) and staff of the college a forum to share their ideas and opinions regarding various aspects of the functioning of the college

We, the alumni of this institution, strongly believe that the standard of any educational institution depends to an enormous degree on the standard of its students. With our huge member strength and pool of resources, expertise and technology, we believe that we can lend a helping hand to develop T.K.M.C.E into a center of Engineering excellence and spearhead the technological revolution in the state.

The Alumni Association is interested in pursuing several projects within the campus for which a well-coordinated and focused task force is to be set-up. The action plan for these projects is currently being chalked out. We seek the cooperation of all concerned in this massive initiative.
