Julia is our first daughter that came into our family through adoption. She was born in Seoul, South Korea on June 21, 1990, and she was escorted home to Detroit airport on September 30, 1990. That means she's now almost ten years old. She is a fun-loving sweet girl. She was a small, healthy baby who walked at 10 months and kept me busy chasing her!
Julia is an A-student, an artist, and this year her writing abilities have really blossomed. Her young author's book was picked for honorable mention and she had to read it for a special program at school. I plan to add it to her webpage someday. She wrote about our trip to get Maria and her adoption.

Julia enjoyed our time in Korea, too. She got to meet her foster mom who is a wonderful woman! We were all very blessed by meeting her. That is a story in itself, too.
Julia is in tae kwan do also. She and Luke are on the Demo Team. She loves swimming and is looking forward to church camp this year too! She might go to Korean Culture Camp as well if our schedule allows.
For now Julia thinks she might decide to be a teacher or a writer when she grows up. Maybe both.
