Kayla
Kayla is our firstborn child. She was born June 27, 1984. We wanted to start our family right away after we were married and we did. Kayla was born 13 months after the wedding...in Indiana, so she's a Hoosier!

She has always been a fun child to be around. She's very personable, outgoing, and vivacious. She is 15 (almost 16 now), and a sophomore in high school. The most exciting thing in her life right now is that she is going on a missions trip this summer (2000)! She's going with Teen Mania Ministries to Thailand. Kayla is very busy now raising her support money and praying that God will enable her to go. The photo on the left was taken at 2 years; the photo to the right was taken when Kayla was 6 years.
Please pray for her in her preparations and that the trip will be fruitful. I think that she picked Thailand because the make up of our family has given us all a strong love and concern for Asia.
Kayla is an honor roll student and she's seriously considering taking college classes next fall. She takes her tests for college entrance at the end of April. She also has her learner's permit for driving which is giving her parents gray hair. She's growing up so fast. What's the rush?!
Kayla has a love for animals and wants to be a veterinarian some day, perhaps a zoo vet.
