Lucas is our first-born son, born June 29, 1987, at Humana Women's Hospital in Indianapolis. (He was delivered by the same doctor that later delivered the Dilly's septuplets!) Lucas was a good baby, and a great little guy. Luke went through phase after phase of doing something cute. First, he had a set of keys that he carried everywhere. That was when he was about 18 months old! They were real keys that he loved. Then when he was 3 years old, he went into his "Peter Pan" stage and Tom made him a little wooden sword that he wore in his belt for the longest time.
He has brought so much joy to our family! Since he started school, he has thrived. He is on the honor roll and well liked by his teachers and peers. What I love most about Luke is his tender heart. He is so loving toward his younger siblings, and truly cares about people. Recently, he went with Julia and me to Korea to bring Maria home. He was so helpful on the trip, and he enjoyed helping care for the babies in the nursery. He was very excited about getting Maria, yet filled with sadness for her foster family.

At home Luke is into tae kwan do, football, baseball, etc. He loves all physical activities. I'm not sure what he wants to be when he grows up, but whatever he choses, I'm sure he'll do it well.
