We are a Christian Homeschooling Group that meets on Thursday afternoons at Faith Community Church in Brookhaven, PA. We offer 4 classes, including Art and Gym as two of the regular classes. The other two classes will vary depending on what the Moms volunteer to teach. Classes are 45 minutes long and we have four age groups; PreK4-K, 1st and 2nd grade, 3rd and 4th Grade and 5th - 8th.
Cost is only $25 per Family, per semester (not per child) with a $10 Art fee per child each semester. We have two semesters a year – September through December and then January – April/May. We are able to keep our registration so low because all our classes are taught by the Moms involved. We do not pay outside teachers to teach the children.
At the end of the year we host a picnic to celebrate and the remaining monies are used to donate something to the church as a Thank You for the use of the building. We do require that each Mom be involved in the co-op in some way, either teaching or helping in a class. We offer electives based on what the Moms want to teach and are passionate about.
