1. Need to know manuscripts, symbols, and theories, and use of seven notes of truth.
2. Matthew 27:49 about Elijah (uncials A, D, K, W, 090, Delta, Theta, PI)
a. Westcott and Hort, in John 19:34, reversed words in this passage about Jesus' side being pierced, blood and water, and then had Him speaking after that (Aleph, V, C, L => 4 uncials, 1010 cursive, and five Greek manuscipts)
b. Earliest versions do not have the added words, so they are rejected. The Aleph and V were backbone of the Neutral text of Westcott and Hort. This is an embarrassment to them.
3. Acts 9:5-6 - works here in KJV probably should be there (manuscript 629 (twelfth or thirteenth century), bilingual (Greek and Latin)) => Erasmus was Catholic, and he added these words from the Latin manuscipt.
4. II Peter 2:4 - angels that have been cast down - pits or chains.
5. Mark 16:9-20 - Two earliest manuscripts do not have these. Aleph, V, 2386 omit these verses. Theory has been put ahead of textual evidence.
6. John 7:53-8:8 - P66, 75, Aleph, A, B, C omit it. Many uncials, Byzantine, Lectionaries, Syriac, and so forth. The early church might have left those verses out because Jesus has gone easy on an adulterer.
Tom of Bethany "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." (I John 5:12)
