| You must be 21 years of age or older to adopt a pet. We may ask for proof! If you rent, we must have your landlord's permission for you to adopt. If you are a student who will be going home at the end of the semester, we must have your parent's permission for you to adopt. We do not allow persons who have turned in animals to the shelter to adopt animals from the shelter! (Other than animals that have been found as strays) Any dog bieng adopted or redeemed must be licensed (NYS) prior to being released. We reserve the right to have our adoption committee look over and vote on your application prior to the animal being released from the shelter. We reserve the right to check on the animal to make sure it has adjusted well to it's new home and that it is receiving proper care. We will also check to see that it had been spayed or neutered! We reserve the right to remove the animal from the adoptive home if the terms on the adoption application and/or adoption contract has not been met. ADOPTION FEES: DOGS> $35.00 is a spay/neuter deposit. $35.00 is the adoption fee, which includes the microchipping fee license fees are listed below CATS> $35.00 is a spay/neuter deposit. $35.00 is the adoption fee, which includes the microchipping fee If the cat is already spayed or neutered, the fee will be only $35.00 adoption fee. Any dog being adopted or redeemed, must be licensed prior to being released. License fees apply to the age and altered status of the dog. $7.50 (for an altered dog), $12.50 (unaltered dog 5 months and under) $15.50 (for an un altered dog 6 months and over) The spay/neuter deposit will be deducted from your vet bill or refunded back to you when we receive proof that the surgery has been done. |
