He said it would be fun. He said it would be exciting... and invigorating... and exhilarating! He
was wrong!!!
Garak stood, cold and exhausted at the bottom of the ski slope. He had tried to have fun, after
all, Julian had been so excited about the ski trip he had planned. So Elim took a few lessons,
and had spent the past hour going up and down the "bunny slope", surrounded by young humans
who were all doing much better than him.
As Garak looked around, trying to find someplace to sit down, he saw Julian heading in his
direction. He smiled at his lover as he approached.
"Garak" Julian called out as he approached. "How's the..." but he stopped without finishing as he
got a closer look at Garak. Quickly, he dropped his ski equipment, and went to put his arms
around Garak, as if to catch him before he fell. "Are you alright? You're as white as a ghost!"
Garak tried to speak, but his first attempt was not very successful. After a few seconds, he
managed to croak out "cold".
"I'm so sorry... I should have realized". Julian helped Garak out of his skis, then gathered up their
equipment. With his arm around Garak, he led him into their chalet and helped him to the sofa.
A fire had already been laid in the fireplace, and he soon had it lit. He then went back to Garak
and removed his wet clothes and wrapped him in the quilt from the bed. He then removed his
own clothing, saying "I'll be back in a minute... stay in front of the fire", and he left the room.
Garak sat, shivering in the quilt, as close to the fire as he could get. His hands and feet, which
had been completely numb until now, were starting to tingle, and he was feeling drowsy.
Suddenly, he felt himself being lifted. Opening his eyes, he saw Julian carrying him through the
bedroom, and into the bathroom beyond.
Somehow, Julian shifted his hold enough to drop the quilt, then carefully climbed into the hot
tub, with Garak still in his arms. Garak sighed as the hot water touched his freezing skin, and the
words that Julian was whispering started to penetrate. "I'm so sorry... everything will be alright...
forgive me... I love you..." He repeated over and over, while using his body to help restore the
circulation to his friend.
As Garak's body and mind started to thaw out, he became aware of his surroundings, and what
Julian was doing to him. This realization soon turned to arousal. Garak shifted in Julian's arms,
so that he was able to turn his head enough to kiss his lover. As the kiss deepened, so did their
foreplay.
"Julian?" Garak said breathlessly.
"Yes?", he didn't want to stop kissing Garak, but pulled away so he could speak.
"Next time... let's skip the skiing".
