The morgue was quiet - too quiet, if you asked Lily, but then it was
supposed to be quiet. It was a morgue, after all, and it was after
hours.
Usually, the quiet didn't bother her. She liked staying late, after
most everyone had left for the night. It gave her time to sort things
out. But tonight, as she went through the backlog of paperwork, she
found herself flinching over the slightest things. She kept telling
herself there was nothing to be afraid of...the doors were locked,
and there were others in the building.
But it didn't seem to make a difference; a creak here, a tap there,
and when Jordan burst into her office, she nearly shrieked from
fright. "You scared me half to death," she cried out, as the door
slammed shut.
"Sorry, Lily, didn't mean to," she said, as she plopped down in the
chair. "You almost done here?"
"Does it *look* like I'm almost done?" Lily asked sarcastically, as
she gestured to the pile of files on her desk.
"Well, no," Jordan had to admit, then added with a wink, "I could
help you clear that desk off..."
Lily shook her head, interrupting Jordan by saying, "No way. I *know*
how you'd go about 'clearing the desk off', and then I'd be in worse
shape with all this stuff."
"Yeah," Jordan agreed, stood, leaned down and placed her hands on
Lily's shoulders, as she planted a kiss on her forehead, adding, "But
my way would be a hell of a lot more..." and the lights went out.
Lily yelped at the sudden darkness, as Jordan whispered, "...fun."
"What happened?" Lily asked, although she rally didn't expect an
answer.
Jordan could feel her trembling, and tried to comfort her, "I don't
know. Perhaps the storm outside took down a power line, or something.
Anyway, the generator should kick in any second now."
But it didn't, and as the seconds ticked by, Lily got more and more
fearful. Jordan knelt down on the floor beside Lily, holding her
close. When a crash sounded somewhere down the hall, Lily let out a
small yelp, which Jordan silenced with a kiss then whispered against
her lips, "Come on, sweety," and pulled her down beside her.
They crawled under the desk, lips locked together trying to keep the
screams from escaping, as more sounds were heard in the distance. By
now, even Jordan was a frightened, since she and Lily were the only
living souls in the morgue at the moment...at least, the only ones
who were supposed to be there.
She was frightened, and fear seemed to make her horny. She found
herself trying to devour Lily's mouth, and Lily wasn't complaining in
the least. Hands groping, she unbuttoned Lily's blouse. Lily slipped
her own hands beneath Jordan's tank top, and then Lily shifted her
knee firmly against Jordan's groin, making her moan.
"Jordan? Lily? Are you all right?" came a familiar voice, as a
flashlight beam cut across the room.
The two women froze in mid-grope, then hastily straighten themselves
up before climbing out from under the desk. "Yeah, we're OK, Nige,"
Jordan said, standing, extending a hand down to Lily. "I didn't know
you were still here?"
"I wasn't. Forgot something, and came back to get it," he said,
adding, "lights went out just as I got in the door. Took me bloody
forever to find a torch, then I heard a moan..." and it was then that
Lily's state of dress registered - she had re-buttoned her blouse,
but the buttons weren't done up quite right.
"Yeah, about that," Jordan started, but was cut off by Nigel.
"Hey...none of my business. Aare you two planning on staying the
night, or would you like an escort to your cars?"
Jordan and Lily looked at one another, and smiled...the paperwork
would have to wait, now. "An escort is just what we need," Lily said,
then looked at Jordan, adding, "can you give me a lift...my car..."
"Of course," Jordan agreed...after all, there was no way she was
going to let things end like this. They had a lot of unfinished
business to take care of...as soon as possible. "Come on, let's get
out of here."
And as Nigel walked away from her SUV, Lily's hand slipped up
Jordan's thigh, as she asked, "Your place or mine?"
"What's wrong with right here?" and within seconds, they were back in
the state they had been in when Nigel 'rescued' them.
