In 1993 while working for a landscaping company
on islesboro maine, I was working in a cemetary
mowing the grounds. It was about 12pm noon
time. Alone working as was often the case, as it
was on this day, clear and no overcast, warm and
dry. When I caught a glimps of movement from
the corner of my eye, looking up to see, I found
a woman, which appeared to be around 30
years of age and dressed in a nightgown.
She paused as she came next to where I was
working from a service road along side.
Puzzled by her appearance, I asked if I could
be of service, ignored as if unheard, she went
on her way. Going about my business for a
moment, then wondering where she could be
going I stop to watch in the direction she was
headed, nothing....she had vanished without
a trace, checking the tree line for movement
as she couldn't have traveled far in such a
short period of time, no evidence of someone
being there at all. Inquiring around to locals
about the Mystery Woman, only lead to
quote, You've seen her.            S.D.

One day while my family and i were hiking on i think
mount battie, we decided to go over to see the cross on
the part they call maiden's mountain. It was a
beautiful summer day so i decided to take some
snapshots of the 2 kids standing by the cross over
looking the lake.when we got the photo,s back we
noticed not two but three children standing there.we
took the photo's back to the drug store where we had
them developed to see if there was a glich in the
film.when they told us that the third child was also
on the negative i didn't know quite what to say.The
third child was a little girl about twelve, dressed in
clothe's from the late 1800s to early 1900s with long
dark hair. I really didn't believe in ghost's at the
time but i can't explain this hope you enjoy this
story. anonymous..P.S.i'll have the photo's to post as
soon as i find them.

when i was a little girl growing up in
gardiner(about 5 miles outside of augusta)i used to
walk past this old house to and from school. it wasn't very big, about 2 storie,s with a porch on the side and 3 windows facing the road.Every once in awhile i would look up and see a man standing in the upper window, looking out over the river(kennebec).I asked my mother about it and all she said to me was that the house was
empty. When i asked her about the man she asked what man? Then i told her about the man in the window. She told me that year's ago ayoung woman went out for a walk and never came back(ran off). He stayed in that
window for year's watching for her and died
there.Maybe he's still there watching for her to come back.....anonymous

In 1996, i went camping with the boy scouts up on frye mountain.I stayed behind to set up camp and watch the fire while the other's went for a hike. when they returned we sat around the fire telling story's and roasting marshmellows(ooooooo.....yippe) around midnight we all went to our tent's to get some sleep but i couldn't sleep. I went out side to take a look around  when i heard this noise coming from the wood's I turned but could not see any animals. All of a sudden i saw this figure come out of the cemetary we were camped out by...i could think of better places...i watched it walk out of the cemetary and i followed it to a clearing i noticed it didn't have any legs or feet.troy trout.

This one was told to me by my mother.when she was living up in brownville junction(my father had a logging crew up there at the time)she rented this nice little house in the center of town.It was owned by a nice elderly lady who had moved out shortly after her
husband had passed away.My mom moved in,in the fall of 1983 and shortly after weird things started happing. Not harmful or what you might call scary, just little thing's like the smell of pipe smoke when no one else was around or her cup of tea being moved from the kitchen to the living room,my mom thought she was getting senile, anyway there were other things like
hearing foot step's on the stair's or a door open or close, remember there was no one else in the house at the time, but the thing that got her the most was when she climed on a foot stool to get something out of the cupboard and fell backwards and someone caught her.when she turned around no one was there.she did ask a few people about the gentleman and was told that he did smoke a pipe and was a very nice man.She was also told that he had a favorite rocker that he liked to sit in. Although she never saw it rock on it's own she would hear what sounded like a chair after she went to bed,it really didn't scare her,it made her feel safe because she felt he was standing guard.

While checking a house in frankfort maine earlier this year i came upon a door that was too good to pass up. So i took a couple of snap shot's of it,after i took the second shot i stepped back to, winde the film when i felt a push at my back. It wasn't a very hard push but it was enough to make me step forward a bit. I had a friend with me at the time and turned to ask him what he did that for when i realized that no one was there. Well i left in a hurry, needless to say and when i got home i found a hand print on the back of my jacket. See the photo and check it out, we're still investigating this house, any ideas would be a help.
