Welcome to The Lighthouse On The Corner Ministries, you now have become a part of a brave new experiment, that of creating in the Internet's world of virtual reality, an Old Time Country Church.

We have witnessed an interesting phenomena, over the last twenty years. It seems that many of us have become disenfranchised with the traditional church for various reasons, including but not limited to inflexible doctrine that seems only to support the commercialization of the church, as well as doctrine that seemingly inculcates hatred and animosity towards certain people or groups.

We are here to reach out to those of you that have left the church as well as those of you that are seeking God and Christ's message of brotherly love and understanding by building a fully functional Church here on the information superhighway. A church not unlike those you remember from the "Good Ol' Days," we plan on incorporating all the aspects of the good part of those churches, fellowship, prayer meetings, even fire and brimstone sermons. BUT WHAT YOU WILL NOT FIND HERE is a church that is only interested in your money, (we're not even tax exempt yet so we can't even solicit donations,) you will never find here a church that spreads a message of hate or intolerance ( we might on occassion preach about those that do spread such and ask you to pray for them so that they might see the truth in Christ's message.) BUT WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE is friendship regardless of your personal beliefs.

The Goals of The Lighthouse On The Corner Ministries

Our goals are simple, (A) "build" an online church with a membership that can choose to be as active in church activities as they want. (B) Make full use of "free" Internet services and technologies whenever possible to keep the cost of the ministry to a minimum.

We intend to utilize such Internet technologies as e-mail, web pages, real time chat and messenger services as a means to duplicate the activities of real world, brick and mortar churches. What exciting concepts we are looking at here, the possibility to "attend" church services as your schedule permits. The possibility to enjoy fellowship with other like-minded individuals from the comfort of your home, office, and with the emerging wireless technologies you could even attend church wherever your wireless devices will allow.

We are not now a tax-exempt entity, however we hope to have the necessary papers completed in the near future. But we have no plans to ever require tithing of our members. We are considering the possibility of establishing gift shop where the proceeds of the sales of gifts and educational materials will be earmarked for the maintenance of church equipment and purchase of software for the various projects that the church might undertake in the future.

At The Lighthouse On The Corner Ministries, we welcome everyone. If you have accepted Christ as your personal savior, you are welcome. If you like our writings and message and would like to learn more about the truth of Christ's ministry here on Earth, you are welcome. If you choose to worship God in some other manner, some other faith, then you too are welcome. We would like to invite everyone to join us in this brave new experiment. Join us and let us walk shoulder to shoulder as brothers and sisters down the information superhighway toward God's light. And let us agree that no matter how some choose to worship God, that we can all walk together as friends in his light. Let us pray that from this day forward that we allow no contention to come between us, other than that noble contention of who can best serve God and who can best spread the message that we are all his children. You agree that violations of rules 1 and 2 will result in expulsion from the church and that the term "not knowingly" refers too but is not limited to a situation that is totally out of your control such as a computer virus that might attack your personal computer sending out e-mails with links or references to subjects mentioned in rule 1 and 2. Should you become the victim of an virus related or other computer problem out of your control, the church will use the Wisdom of Solomon (common sense) in dealing with the situation.
