"I got a letter from my late wife. But, the dead don't write letters..."
It had been three years sence James Sunderland's wife, Mary died. During that time, he had to live with the guilty truth of her death. Then, he got a letter. The name on the envolope said "Mary". It said that she was "In their speacle place in Silent Hill." So James set's out to find the truth.
Little does he know, the truth can kill you, expecaly in Silent Hill...
The main road into town has been blocked, so that people can't get in. But, as James looks at the map, he sees a hiking path along the lake that will get him into town. So he get's that map and heads down the path, into the fog.
As he goes donw, he can hear sounds of strange creatures ecohing around. Yet, he contunies, desprit to find out what happened, and how Mary could send him a letter, even though she is dead.
After cutting through the cimiterie, he goes up the road, only to see lots of blood, and somthing stagering away into the fog. James follows it.
When he catchs up to it, he hears a pocket radio whinning on a box, he gets it and plays round with it for a minute or so, and then notices it. A monster, feeding on the carces of a construction worker. James somhow kills it.
Now, the barricades into the city are down, and monsters roam the streets, looking for one thing. James.
'Mary, could you really be here..."
