Singer Treadles
My Grandfather gave me my first sewing machine when I was 10 years old. It was an old black Singer that he had bought that morning at a yard sale. I thought it was the most beautiful sewing machine I had ever seen and right away started cutting up old clothes, or  outfits I just didn't like :), to make doll clothes and pot holders. Thank you , Grandpa!

I now have a collection of old Singer sewing machines that includes 6 working treadles, 2 handcranks and a number of electric and non-working machines that I won't admit to :), along with a lot of vintage sewing machine attachments.

I enjoy using my treadles and handcranks for quilting, heirloom sewing  and making jammies for my kids and grandkids.
