I know some people will think I am joking here or have been fooling around with the photo editor. This is the same plant, and both pictures show the color as the eye sees it.

This is what these Dendrobium flowers really looked like when viewed where they grow, under a metal halide light. It doesn't just fool the camera, it really looks like that.

I brought the plant upstairs and was surprised to find a plant with pink flowers in my hand.

I did make very minor changes with a photo editor to make the color look exactly like what I saw. The pink version was adjusted with the plant sitting next to my computer for direct comparison. The changes were mainly little changes in brightness and contrast.
Oddly enough, the metal halide light doesn't distort the color of most flowers. I only have one other plant that looks noticeably different under that light when it flowers.
