October 1 ~ Anna had an opthamologist appointment (first one since July, when her eyes had remained totally clear of inflammation). This time, however, the opthamologist found a "rare cell" [of inflammation] in each eye. He gave me a choice of treatment, and I chose to "wait and see", meaning we did not go back on drops, but we go back in three weeks to see if the inflammation will go away on its own or if Anna's eyes are gearing up for another flare.

October 7 ~ Anna took a trip to the Emergency Room at Harrisburg Hospital. She had been complaining of stomach pain many times that day (usually she would just mention it once, and then it would go away, but this day it was persistant and getting worse). By evening, her pain had been severe for awhile, and we called the family doctor. After he heard her cry, heard that she would not tolerate my palpitation of the painful area, and walked with a hunched over look, he said she needed to be seen at the ER. We waited for about three hours before Anna saw a doctor, and by that time she was much better and actually hungry. So they didn't find anything at all. We started giving her Zantac on a regular basis after that day, and she has only had stomach pain once since then.
October 17 ~ Anna's appointment with the pediatric rheumatologist. We'll continue with the Trilisate and Zantac for awhile. Anna isn't any worse--maybe even a little bit better. We will go back in two months.
