Division G is part of Toastmasters International, Region VIII, District 47 and is made up of five Areas and 26 Clubs. The purpose of this web site is to keep you informed of activities that may be of interest to your club.
The Mission of Toastmasters International
Toastmasters International is the leading movement devoted to making
effective oral communications a worldwide reality.
Through its member
Clubs, Toastmasters International helps men and women learn the arts of
speaking, listening, and thinking -- vital skills that promote
self-actualization, enhance leadership potential, foster human understanding,
and contribute to the betterment of mankind.
It is basic to this mission
that Toastmasters International continually expand its worldwide network of
Clubs, thereby offering ever-greater numbers of people the opportunity to
benefit from its program.
The Mission of the District
The mission of the District is to enhance the performance and extend the network of Clubs, thereby offering greater numbers of people the opportunity to benefit from the Toastmasters educational program by:
- Focusing on the critical success factors as specified by the District educational and membership goals.
- Insuring that each Club effectively fulfills its responsibilities to its members.
- Providing effective training and leadership development opportunities for Club and District officers.
The Mission of the Division
The mission of Division is to serve the clubs assigned to it by providing district support and resources to clubs and members through the area governors. It also aids in administration, presentation of speech contests, provision of club-officer training and coordination of other district activities.
The Mission of the Area
The mission of Area is to provide district contact support and services to the club so that the club may in turn fulfill its responsibility to it's members. This includes maintaining regular contact with clubs in the area. The purpose of the area is to present club-officer training, conduct speech contests and to provide a communication link between the district and its clubs.
The Mission of the Club
The mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communications and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
