Some Things Don't Need Words....

The sun shined brightly as I walked out of the University.
With classes over for the day, I was looking foward to a
nice walk home, and a date with Usagi later
on in the evening.

After dating her for the past three years, our love has
grown to the point where I want to ask her to be my wife.
The problem is, everytime I have brought the subject up to
her, she has dodged the issue at every turn.

It's almost as if she's afraid of something...and I wish I
knew what that was.

With a sigh, I turned the corner towards home, pondering on
where to take her tonight, when I heard a growl that stopped
me in my tracks.

On the far side of the street, I saw a monster...about twice
my height, covered in brown fur, long sharp claws, and a demonic
smile on its face.

It was attacking a group of school children, hovering over them,
trying to grab for them.

Finding a rock nearby, I picked it up and hurled it at the
creature, tryting to get it's attention.

The rock found it's mark, striking a glancing blow off of the
monster's head. Turning around, it saw me, bellowed with rage,
and advanced towards my position.

"That's it. Come on, ugly, catch me if you can!" I taunted.

And with that, I ran, with the monster hard on my heels......

I ran towards the park, figuring on a big area where I could face
the monster properly.

Stopping in a clearing, I turned around, facing the monster that was
advancing towards me.

Growling in anger and effort, the monster finally got to the clearing and
advanced upon me.

Taking a rose from my coat pocket, I was intent on transforming.

But before I could, the monster grabbed a length of chain from a nearby
walkway post, and pounced upon me...

I managed to get a few blows at it's head, before he overpowered me....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I woke, I found myself bound against a nearby tree.  I struggled
against my bonds to no avail...the creature had used the chain to bind
me to the tree.
The monster closed upon me, raising its big clawed hand....
I closed my eyes,  bracing for the impact....
Instead, I heard a howl of pain come from the monster, and
a flash of bright light filter through my closed eyes.
I opened my eyes and saw  Sailor Moon placing her tiara
back into place as she gave the monster a long, cold look.
"You will not harm him!" She shouted to the monster.
~Has she taken leave of her senses?~  "Sailor Moon, run!
He's too powerful!" I cried.
If she heard me, she didnt give any indication.  With a leap, she landed
a flying kick to it's chest,  forcing the monster backward.
With a growl, the monster tried to advance upon her, but she used her
tiara once more, it's magic spin connecting with the monster multiple times.
It screamed in reply, as it raised its enormous hand towards her.
~Oh no...~ "Sailor Moon!  LOOK OUT!"  I screamed.
She also saw what was coming, but she wasn't able to doge in time.
The monster struck her with one swipe, propelling her into a nearby tree.
My heart leapt into my throat as I saw her crumple to the ground.
~No!  Usako, get up, please!~
Her face contorted into a grimace of pain, but she sucked in a breath, and
managed to push herself into a crouching position.
The creature advanced towards her...
From her vantage point, Sailor Moon whirled around, leg extended, catching
the monster off guard.....it howled in anger as it fell to to the ground.
Quickly bringing forth her scepter, she then chanted the words that
caused the monster to disappear in a cloud of dust.....
It was then that she turned around and freed me from my bonds.....
The love of my life stood in front of me, her costume torn, her face
brusied and bloodied, but right then, she was the most heavenly sight
that I could have ever wished for.
But at the same time, I was angry...she took this monster on, alone..she
could have been killed. I stood, and putting my hands on her shoulders,
shook her once, my voice bordering on the edge of histeria. "Usako, what
do you think you were doing? Don't you realize you could have died taking
him on alone like that?"
Her eyes never wavered from mine, and yet her voice was tinged with
fear...."So I nearly lost my life, big deal.  I've faced death more than
once....."  Her voice broke off, as she shivered violently.
I held her close, trying to calm her down.
"So why are you shaking if it isn't a big deal?"  I asked quietly.
With an unsteady hand, she touched her locket, and became Usagi Tsukino
once more.
She looked the ground, guilt apparent in her face.
Her cheeks turned a bright red, as  she confessed. "Well.....it was the
thought of never seeing you again......It scared me."
She put her hands around mine. "Mamo-chan.....I love you...", she
laughed nervously, "....heh, another thing I have been scared to say
.....and I want to spend the rest of  my life with you, and....."
She continued to babble on, her cheeks flaming red.
So what else could I do?    I leaned over and kissed her full and hard
on the lips....
She eagerly returned the favor for a few moments and then reluctantly
broke away and looked up at me...
I smiled and tilted her face up to face me....  "  I accept your proposal..."
Usagi looked astonished, "But how did you......."
I placed a finger on her lips, "Shh....our love binds our hearts and minds
together. I  want to spend the rest of my life with you as well.....some
things just don't need words..."
Her face melted into that angelic smile I have loved so much. "Oh,
Mamo-Chan..."
It was then that I swept her up into my arms.
"Mamo-chan, where are you taking me?" Usagi squealed in protest.
"Well, I wanted to tend to your wounds back at my apartment, or would you
rather explain to your parents that you got into a fight with a monster?"
"Point taken," Usagi conceded with a smile.  She then put her arms around
my neck.
And as I walked back to my apartment, I thought myself the luckiest guy
in the world, to be in love with such a wonderful girl.
It was then Usagi clasped her hands tighter around my neck, and smiled
at me.
