Fabian Socialism
By Barbara Dwyer
Fabian Socialist began in 1883-84 in London England. Their goal was to create a "Democratic" socialist state in Britain.
Fabius Maximus Cunctator was the brain child. He believed in conquest through subversive manipulating of the masses into a consensus through "consent," rather than by violent conquest. The goal of the Fabian Society was to cause evolutionary socialism verses revolutionary socialism. The Fabian method for accomplishing that goal was to use public meetings, lectures, research, and publishing to educate the public rather than prison camps and physical affliction.
George Bernard Shaw play writ, arts and music critic who won the Nobel Peace prize in 1925 was a member of the Fabian Society.
Sidney and Beatrice Webb along with George Bernard Shaw organized the Socialist Labor Party in 1906. Sidney was a civil-service clerk and author of Facts for Socialists (1887), and The History of Trade Unionism/Industrial Democracy. His wife Beatrice wrote The Cooperative Movement in Great Britain (1891).
They later collectively wrote Labour and the new Social Order (1918) and Soviet Communism: A New Civilization
Fabian Socialism seeks through illusion to deceive freemen into bondage by Statism. Our Constitutional Republic designed by the American Colonialist encouraged individual liberty and recognized that the fundamental rights stated in the Constitution are granted by the Creator and not by Government. Fabian socialism is the religion of Statism, bringing bondage. Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty!
