ABOUT ME
Let me take a moment and tell you about myself. My name is Linda Cutshall and I am the owner and childcare provider at Lil Butterflies Family Child Care and Preschool. I have been in business for 11 years and I love my job.

I strive to constantly make the childcare environment better. I graduated from Walters State Community College in 2002 with my Child Development Credential and was honored to receive one of the three academic awards that were given.

I believe in helping each and every child that comes into my home become the best that they can be and provide developmentally appropriate activities based on the childs age and capabilities. Childcare is more than a job to me, it is a profession and one that I take very seriously.

Currently I have 11 children enrolled on various days. I am a regulated family childcare home here in Tennessee.

Childcare encompasses so many facets of a child's life and I love to learn and grow to better help the child. I have taken over 500 hours in trainings to better myself and my program. I do not believe that this is a profession to be taken lightly. After all we are planting the seeds that will grow into the leaders of tomorrow. It is not always easy to balance out the day, but one where I strive to find creative solutions to help the program and mostly the child.

When not doing childcare, I love to write poetry, articles, hike, read, and cook. I also love the internet and doing scrapbooking and interacting with other providers.

I have one son, Kristopher who went home to be with the Lord on July 18th, 2005. He was 26 years old and has a child on the way. I have two grandchildren that he left behind; Joel 2 years old and Madeline who just turned 1. I also have two step children who live in the home; Ashley 13 and Issac 11 years who are both blessings. We also have two golden retrievers who think they are human. They are Will and Grace!

I belong to the National Association for Family Childcare and am a NAFCC observer, I serve on the Governor's Board for Star Quality Child Care, and teach orientation courses for our early childhood training alliance, along with being a trainer and member of our local family child care support group.
