CHAPTER ONE-NARRATOR'S STORY

It had been a week since Hutch had been off cocaine. However, he still was suffering the after-effects as well as the heartbreak from his break-up. He began to type the report of yesterday's finished case as his mind went to the present. Ken wore a tan buttoned shirt with long sleeves, black bell bottoms, and tan boots as his black Varsity jacket hang on the back of his chair. Starsky was at the vender machine as he wore a white cargo long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, blue Adidas, and a navy blue jacket. Hutch wished that Dave would eat healthy like him. Shortly later, Ken looked up when he noticed that Dave was near him with a piece of chocolate bar in his mouth. Ken gave him a "Starsky Please" look.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Dave said and backed away a little as he continued to eat his candy bar.

"Starsky. Hutch. In my office please," spoke Capt. Dobey calmly. Hutch and Starsky looked at each other briefly.

"Hutch, he said 'please'."

"Yeah, in a calm manner." They chuckled before they went into the office.

"Close the door. Starsky. Hutch. This is hush hush. You both are going on a special assignment. These ladies will assist you. I would like to meet Doris Gish." Doris smiled with a "hello" and a wave. Doris was a 5'10 thin yet curvy seventeen-year old with smooth chocolate complexion, long yet slightly wide nose, full lips, large dark eyes, high cheekbones, black long thick wavy hair, and ample yet mercurial bosom. The African-Canadian teen, who was a half-Egyptian former tomboy, wore a lilac/paisley long-sleeved shirt, black slacks, black trouser socks, clear lip balm, a black jacket, a black watch, and black loafers. Her shoulder-length mane was pinned back at the sides with a left part while the rest hang down. Doris, who was a Camrose, Alberta Province native, was a genius in both mechanism and science. She graduated at University of Alberta with two master degrees while she was eight.

"And this is Eve Wells," he continued.

"Hello," Eve said as she gave a soft beam. Eve Wells was a 5'9 fifteen-year old with smooth chestnut skin, voluptuous light cherry lips, long yet wide nose, long eyelashes, large coffee-colored eyes, long legs, black thick shoulder-length straight locks, and deep dimples. The Kotzebue, Alaska native was rather thinner than Doris although Eve had a slightly larger bust. Her full Indian mother was a Dravidian from Southern India. The half African/half Indian teen wore a tangerine sleeveless turtleneck, colorful lip-gloss, a black watch, a black utility jacket, black flare pants, black boots, a braided ponytail, a middle part, and a tangerine long-sleeved shirt with a long dog-eared collar. Eve, that was fluent in 15 languages, was a genius in engineering. The Alaskan, who graduated at Yale when she was 9, was also a weaponry specialist.

Doris and Eve were international secret agents. They worked for World Intelligence Agency or W.I.A. for short. They became spies shortly after they both graduated from college. At first, they were office workers until they strangely became the only ones available for a very important assignment. Though without training, they save the world with great success. As time went on, they became two of most respected yet essentially overlooked agents.

Five years ago, they first met Capt. Dobey and helped him and the Bay City Commissioner save California as well as the President of the United States. Since then the Bay City Police and W.I.A. had developed an alliance and Gish and Wells had become Bay City's best kept secret. Recently W.I.A had made files about Starsky and Hutch. They thought that the duo had potential. However, Capt. Dobey knew that Starsky and Hutch wanted to remain law officers.

"This is Det. Kenneth Hutchinson." Capt. Dobey pointed at the blond officer.

"Hello but you called me 'Hutch'." He smiled as Doris glazed into his blue eyes.

"And this is Det. David Starsky." He pointed at the dark-haired officer.

"Hello. Just called me 'Starsky'." He smiled as Eve brushed her braid away from her shoulder.

"Okay, we are through with the introduction. Now let's get down with business. Since the chief of police had taken over the supposedly ill Commissioner's position, strange things had been happening. Like for starters, three peremptory judges were murdered within days of the announcement of the Commission's so-called illness. Then, Jake Sikes, who killed over twenty people during a three-day crime spree, was found dead in his cell an hour ago. His scheduled execution was next week. Finally, the "new" Commissioner had told me that Bay City Police Department must severed ties with W.I.A because the Department is W.I.A.'s puppet and all that jazz. Now I believe with Dean Cardinal, these ladies' boss, that the Commissioner's illness is linked to these events......"

Shortly later, the agents and the cops went into the cops' garage. The young teens waited with Hutch as Starsky got his car. Ken still stunned about the information that Capt. Dobey told them. He could not believe that W.I.A. knew about him and Starsky all this time. Capt. Dobey made W.I.A keep a safe distance from them until now. As Eve looked around the garage, she recognized some of familiar faces yet they did not detected her and Doris. Doris put her hands in her pockets as she stood next to Hutch. Their shoulders nearly touched before they turned and looked at each other. Hutch smiled and Doris answered it with a small half-grin. When Eve saw Starsky's car, she chuckled briefly. She looked around and hoped that nobody noticed especially Starsky.

"Yeah, the car is funny," said Hutch to Eve before she calmly went into Starsky's car. As Doris was about to enter into Starsky's car, Hutch softly placed his hand on Doris's back. Then he removed his hand when she went in. He closed the door behind her as the agents began to put on their seatbelts. Starsky and Hutch laughed as Hutch got in the front passenger seat and shut the door.

"You ladies are certainly cautious. Or probably Capt. Dobey told you about Starsky's driving."

"Ha. Ha. Very Funny." Starsky remarked with an annoyed look as he glanced at Hutch briefly before he began to drive out of the Precinct's garage.

As the car drove through the Bay City streets, Doris and Eve looked about quietly. The young agents were glad that they were in Bay City again. Ken turned around and broke the rather long silence between the four people as he began to question the young women. He apologized for being a kibitzer before he continued to catechize them. They both answered him with straight yet limit accruement. As a quiet minute passed, Ken looked up and down with his eyes at Doris. Later he briefly looked at Eve before he turned back around and put on his shades.

CHAPTER II

They arrived at the Joseph Bell building, which was part of the Roan Business Centers. The Roan Business Center, which was the entire confidential W.I.A Secondary Headquarters, was several blocks from the Bay City Mayor's house. As they entered the building, they were scanned numerous times. As they went further in the building, Starsky and Hutch both thought that the environment was like a European science fiction movie. Finally, they entered the Lobby Z. Doris went to a nearby candy machine and pull out the empty switch. Part of the wall slide opened and she entered. Eve, Ken, and David followed her. Within moments, they were before the Glower, the leader of the W.I.A. Secondary Headquarters. The Glower was a thin yet curvy 6'2 maturated Aborigine woman with shoulder-length blonde and silver curls, dark eyes, a broad yet long nose, full rosy lips, smooth dark caramel skin, thick bushy eyebrows, and a square jaw. She wore a white turtleneck, black blazer, black slackers, black loafers, and a gold watch brooch.

"Hello ladies," stated the Glower with a thick Australian accent, "And you must be Det. Ken Hutchinson and Det. David Starsky. It is a pleasure to meet you." The Aborigine shook David's hand first then Ken's hand as she warmly smiled. She came from her desk and walked toward them. The Glower tucked a lock behind her ear as she told them to sit on the large black leather sofa. A large screen appeared on the wall behind her desk as she gave them new details about the mission. After she finished, the screen disappeared and Dr. Jack Pey entered the office. The Netherlands native was a lean yet muscular 5'6 young man with straight yet thick black short hair, blue eyes, thin lips, long yet thin nose, large white straight teeth, smooth fair complexion, and massive body hair. He wore a blue collarless shirt, black trousers, black loafers, and white lab coat. The silver medical tricorder's shoulder strap rested on his right shoulder.

"This is Dr. Jack Pey. He will show you to the Infirmary."

"Hello, you must be Starsky and Hutch. It is nice to meet you both." He smiled as he shook David's hand first and later Ken's hand.

Dr. Pey led them to a long tunnel before they entered the Infirmary. They passed by a series of rooms until they entered the Observatory Room Two. There in the bed was the Chief of Police with two broken arms, five broken ribs, a black eye, and a credit card-like chip on his forehead. The Chief was conscious and greeted his guests though he was still a little groggy from his pain mediation. As Eve and Doris came toward the Chief, Ken and Dave asked Dr. Pey what was the deal.

"This is an analyzing chip which scrutinize the patient's condition." Dr. Pey pointed out as he gave the Chief of Police a short check-up. "The readings show that you are recovering precisely."

"Thanks Doctor. First of all, I am real. The man, who is the acting Commissioner, is an impostor. The Commissioner and I were kidnapped. I escaped and went here. Irwin Pake of Internal Affairs is the ringleader of the whole fiasco. Sgt. Bill Talyon is the judges' assassin. Also there are five policemen in your Precinct involved. Before I escaped, I learned that they are going to kill Capt. Dobey as the same time as they will kill the Commissioner."

"When?" Starsky asked.

"Today, 2:00 p.m. at the City Hall." Quickly, Doris pressed a button and Capt. Dobey came on the face of the watch.

"Capt. Dobey, here."

"It's Doris. Where are you?"

"I'm in my office but I was about to leave for City Hall."

"Capt. Dobey, your life is in danger. It is a trap. The acting Commissioner is a fake. Don't trust anyone."

"What about Starsky and Hutch?"

"They are with us." She showed him Starsky and Hutch.

Irwin Pake of the Internal Affairs and Sgt. Bill Talyon are involved as well as five policemen in our Precinct." Hutch remarked.

"There is somebody coming." Capt. Dobey stated as Doris' watch returned to normal.

Within moments, they raced to the City Hall. As they became near, Capt. Dobey again called on Doris' watch and told that the Commissioner was rescued. They didn't believe him until Dean Cardinal appeared and confirmed it. As Starsky parked his car a block from the City Hall, Dean Cardinal showed pictures of the corrupt cops and identified them on the agents' watches. Some of the names were familiar to David and Ken since they worked with them on several cases. However, they already suspected the debauched police officers.

Meanwhile in the Commissioner's office, the false acting Commissioner and Irwin Pake discussed after their amoral enforcers left. To Pake, his plan to take over Bay City was running smoothly. For years, he hated how the system worked, as he became its stooge. Finally he snapped when he lost to the mayor during a recent election and devised a stratagem. The world ensuing was next on his list to conquer. Before long, Starsky and Hutch entered the office.

"Hello Commissioner. Hello Pake" said Starsky as he and Hutch strolled toward them. "You both are under arrest."

"On what charge?" The acting Commissioner remarked.

"For kidnapping for starters," said Capt. Dobey as he entered the office with the real Commissioner.

"THE COMMISSIONER!!!" Both the false acting Commissioner and Pake gasped as they saw the bruised yet calm government official. David subdued the acting Commissioner and removed the impostor's mask. It was Jakes Sikes!!!

"So you are really not dead at all," smirked David as he handcuffed him.

"But he did great performances as both the Chief of Police and the acting Commissioner. Instead of a Oscar, he is going a longer sentence among other things," Ken said as he arrested Pake. As the cops read them their rights, Capt. Dobey thanked Doris and Eve in the hall.

"You're welcome," Both Doris and Eve said together as they smiled. Doris and Eve helped Starsky and Hutch captured the corrupted cops before David and Ken arrested Sikes and Pake. Capt. Dobey, the Commissioner, and Dean Cardinal all thought that the agents and the cops made a splendid team.

"Come on ladies. It is time to go home." Dean Cardinal remarked.

"Goodbye," Both Doris and Eve said together as they waved at Capt. Dobey.

"Hey Captain, please tell the guys that we really had a nice time." Doris said as Eve nodded before they left with their boss.

The next day at the Pepperdine University in Malibu, Doris and Eve sat in the University's cafeteria as they ate their lunch. Eve and Doris were college professors. Doris wore a gray turtleneck, black bellbottoms, black boots, black jacket, and pink lipgloss while her long wavy tresses hung down with a left part. Eve wore a black turtleneck, evergreen slacks, matching blazer, and clear lip balm while her long straight mane hung down with a middle part. Eve pondered about David while Doris thought about Ken. The teens sighed simultaneously as they continued to eat. Eve looked at her watch and discovered that 10 minutes left in their lunch break. Doris remembered that she and Eve had to meet with the Glower later this evening. After they finished the classes, they went into the W.I.A. company car, which was a modernized 1971 blue Rivera. Doris helped redesign it three years ago after an agent returned it from a mission. Doris drove the car to Bay City as Eve skimmed through recent files. Doris smiled when she saw the "Entering Bay City" sign.

"I hope that we see the Captain and the guys again," Eve remarked without looking up from the files.

"I wonder if they like to us again." Doris said as she drove past the sign.
