That's right. 255 years ago, we the Hauser/Hooser family first came to the Yadkin region near Winston-Salem. We now populate most of the fifty states in the US and in 2000 we went back to our ancestral American home -- Hausertown (read Hoosiertown) or Bethania, North Carolina and then in 2005 over to Shakertown. Did you miss it? Don't worry. Stay plugged in and we will do another reunion in 2010 in Montana, the home of Gov. Samuel HAUSER Jr. Tell the Montana Historical Society that you are a Hauser cousin of Old Sam Hauser and be ready to read and write.

Hooser Coat of Arms
The Family Coat of Arms Issue: The Hauser Coat of Arms is the "Fleur de Lis" that a French king burned into the Reichenwehr city gate. However, the HOOSER coat of arms is the picture below. Did the Hausers have a coat of arms that they were loyal to before the King seized the Alsace, esp Reichenwehr? Or was the Fleur de Lis the prior one as well? I think some family discussion is needed over the issue. While I prefer the one shown below, accurate history is more important than personal preferences. If you need some additional input see Kenneth J. Hauser's book page 16.
