Annapolis
In the Autumn of 1999
Moving to Maryland
In November 1999, Steve and Nancy loaded up the cats and enough baggage to live on for a while, and set forth to the Annapolis area, to seek new shelter and to report to new jobs in the area. While we are in transition, we are living in a cottage on the Burley Creek waterfront.
Burley Creek St. Margaret's is a suburb of Annapolis. It begins near the Severn River across from the Naval Academy and downtown, off State Road 179 (aka St. Margaret's Road) The link below takes you to a map of the area which may be zoomed out or in.
A MAPQUEST Map of St. Margaret's Here's a view of our cottage from the dock. Here's Nancy in the back yard. Steve is down the street near an old boat being restored. Burley Creek, another view Steve with the little dinghy left for our use. Nancy relaxing in the front of the cottage. Another of Nancy on the Burley. Steve on the Burley with a Flash eager to explore. She is used to the ducks and geese, but we also understand there are muskrats in the area. Steve taking in the afternoon sun. Nancy in the sun with a slightly recalcitrant Winnie the Cat (17 years young!). More Photos at Zing! ![]()
