Comments: In these games, basically the same with graphic and track differences, you become your favorite Mario character and race along the tracks. You can use powerups to blow the snot out of the competion. Good party game, well, back when they came out (still pretty good). Tricks and Cheats: Super Mario Kart For a speed boost, press and hold the B button a fraction of a second after the first light turns off for a nice boost to start the race. To get a small racer, on the Player Select screen, highlight your driver and press Y and A simultaneously. The only way to change back during a race is to run over a Mushroom dropped by the Princess. Keep in mind, this is only for Tournament mode. Mario Kart: SC Unlock Special Cups Get the gold trophy in each of the four normal cups (Mushroom, Flower, Lightning, Star) to unlock the ultra cool Special Cup. Note: Must be done for each engine class you want to use it in (50cc, 100cc, 150cc) Unlocking the Special Cup in the 150cc class will also unlock the Special Cup in Time Trial mode. All of the tracks (20) from the original Super Mario Kart are hidden in MK: Super Circuit. To unlock them, you'll need to have the Special Cup unlocked first. Then, after you get the gold trophy in the Special Cup, play each cup again. Finish with 100 Coins or more to unlock four SMK tracks. After you've unlocked some tracks, press L or R on the "Choose a Cup" screen to switch between the MKSC tracks and SMK ("extra") tracks. You can only unlock four extra tracks per cup, and you'll have to do this separately for each engine class(50cc, 100cc, and 150cc). Good luck... |
