Angela Tobias Serrano

Angela's classical ballet training began in NYC at the Ballet Repertory Studio under the direction of Thalia Mara, who has published numerous books on the techniques and proper training of Ballet studies, and who founded the first International Ballet Competition in the U.S. in Jackson, Mississippi. She received her first scholarship at the School of Ballet Reperatory and was a member of their Concert company. Her studies continued throughout her dance career at the Joffery and American Ballet Theater Schools. All of Ms. Tobias' famous teachers are listed in the History of Dance.

Ms. Tobias also founded a Dance Department in San Juan, Puerto Rico and choreographed for Children's Theater & Television. Angela Tobias has taught at the University of Bridgeport, was on the faculty of the Carnegie Hall International Dance School in NYC, and was the recipient of a Rockefeller Scholarship. Her students have gone on to study dance at college and are performing professionally in New York and internationally.
