To David, G-d's statutes were not just words; they were as music to his ears. G-d's words were composed as beautiful melodies, soul-stirring harmonies and rhythms. Each word has meaning and purpose, even as each note in a musical composition is important.

Each of G-d's commandments are like notes on a sheet of music. Each one is important to the entire Torah as a composition. When one of us picks and chooses which commandment we want to obey, it is similar to an orchestra picking and choosing which notes they want to play from a compostion from Mozart, Bach or Mendelsohn. That would sound terrible! This is how our lives sound to G-d when we disobey or disregard His commandments.
