Here a few pics I took at the 2002 National Monte Carlo Owners Association convention in Nashville, Tennessee...June 22, 2002 (Nashville Marriot) (I know they are not Chevelles but I still love em') |

This is the "Intimidator". It was the original concept model that led up to the current version of the Monte Carlo (2000-200?). It was virtually hand built, so I was surprised that it was just sitting out in front of the hotel lobby with no one guarding it. This thing has lots of goodies that I wish had made it to production. |
This sharp looking 86' Monte Carlo SS belongs to my supervisor at work (Dennis Robertson of Hendersonville, TN). It is completely stock with t-tops, 305 and very, very low miles on the ticker. There were lots of these at the show. Most of the Monte Carlos there were from the 80's era but all the other years were well represented. |
The pics above were taken at the National Monte Carlo Owners Association (NMCOA) convention at the airport Marriot in Nashville, Tn on June 22, 2002. I am especially partial to the 73-77 models because they are a "kissin' cousin" to my Malibu, sharing many of the same running gear and interior parts. I alos took a few pics of the 2000 era Montes. I got several ideas for my 2000 at the show. I really liked the carbon fiber dash and te ghost flames on the silver one, and since the guy who owns it lives 500 miles from here, I could get away with copying him and not feel too bad......(probably won't though). |
