How I Feel At the End of the Course

After taking expository writing my anxiety about essays has decreased enormously. In the beginning of the class I wrote a paper about sign language, which is what I hope to pursue in later years of my life. Although this paper included a very significant story line and was one of my favorite topics to write about I feel that there still could be corrections. If I had written the paper at the end of the year I feel as though it could have turned out much stronger. The different writing techniques gave me the opportunity to take my writing to another level. One of the things that I had struggled most with writing was how exactly how to start an essay, now at the end of the class I have overcome the apprehension and can approach introductions of any assignment. Another difficulty was being able to self correct my papers, peer editing gave me the chance to teach myself how exactly what I should be looking at when correcting papers. One of my favorite pieces in the class was one I had written more recently which was my essay about school opening times. I found that it was a very different paper that I had every written before, it was enjoyable because the argument essay gave me the chance to learn different writing techniques as well as new facts about a topic I hadn’t known much about. As a writer now compared to before expository writing I view myself as much less nervous about writing big papers. The class not only helped me to write in class essays but essays in other classes as well. The new writing techniques have helped me with organization, writing style and new original ideas for writing papers in the future.
