Other Famous Rabbits
This is, obviously, a Dylan obsessed site, but there are lots of other famous bunnies out there, and I thought, why not give them a slice of the action too. So here we are, some other famous rabbits that have popped onto our screens. Will be added to as Bunny's are found.
Bugs Bunny - Looney Tunes - Perhaps the most famous rabbit of all. Perhaps the most famous cartoon character of all. This Brooklyn bunny has been in countless cartoons and movies.
Clyde Bunny – Looney Tunes – Appeared in a few shorts, and the Christmas specials. Bug’s nephew.
Lola Bunny – Space Jam – Created for the movie to be Bug’s love interest, she’s a feisty doe who hates to be called ‘doll’. Not a smart move of Warner Bros. to make her in the first place.
Babs and Buster Bunny – Tiny Toon Adventures -No relation. Simply a new generation of Looney tunes. Buster's a wiseass and Bab's thinks she's a starlet...go figure.
Roger Rabbit - Who Framed Rodger Rabbit - Framed for the murder of Marvin Acme, Roger was the star of the best live action-animation films ever made. People mostly remember him for his wife, Jessica *Pokes Bonniebunnie and giggles*
Mr. Herriman – Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends - Actually an IMAGINARY bunny. He works for his creator in a home for abandoned imaginary friends. If the top hat, tails and monocle didn't give it away, this guy's a bit of a toff. But he has a sadistic streak that rears its ugly head from time to time. He has one of the best bunny songs ever. ‘My tail is quite fluffy, my ears are quite floppity’
Zombunny - 'Dr Zitbag's Transylvania Pet Shop' -Okay, he's not famous, but he deserves a mention. As his name suggests, he's a zombie rabbit. Yeah.
Harvey – Harvey - An invisible, 6 foot tall rabbit. Friend of drunkard Elwood, from the play /movie. Harvey is a pooka - a fairy spirit in animal form.
Rabbit – Winne the Pooh - The unimaginatively named rabbit from Winne the Pooh. He’s been in many books, movies and TV shows. A fussy gardener. And he’s yellow.
Frank – Donnie Darko - A creepy looking rabbit if ever there was one. He predicted the end of the world.
The Watership Down cast – Watership Down – Many rabbits, too many rabbits, as Keehar would say. Simply the best rabbit book /movie ever to grace us. I strongly suggest reading the book, Richard Adams gives rabbits their own religion, language and folk stories. The cast (not surprisingly) is vast, some of the more famous buns being Hazel, Bigwig, Fiver and Hyzenthlay.
Peter Rabbit – Beatrix Potter Books – The rabbit that snuck into Mr. Macgregor’s garden and nearly died for it. My first, and only rabbit was named after two of his sisters, Flopsy-Mopsy.
The Energizer Bunny – Energizer – He goes on and on and on. I parodied this guy with Dylan in my fanart section. Yup indeedy.
Thumper – Bambi – The highly irritating, but adorable friend to the deer in the movie which scarred hundreds of innocent children, and still does.
Br’er Rabbit – Uncle Remus Books/Song of the South – Clever bunny who had many adventures, usually involving outwitting other creatures of the wood. Really needed to get eaten.
Bunnie Rabbot – Sonic the Hedgehog – Seen in one of the Tv Shows, and often in the comics. As her name suggests, she is half rabbit, half robot. It’s a long story.
Cream – Sonic the Hedgehog – Another Sonic bunny, this time in the newer games, and the Anime-style TV Show. I avoided this, as I’m an old-school Sonic fan, which the new stuff certainly is not. Ick.
Buster Baxter – Arthur – Best friend to the title character. A white rabbit. His hero was comic star, ‘Bionic Bunny’.
Trix Rabbit – Trix – Advertises American cereal ‘Trix’. Hounded by the catchphrase ‘Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids’.
Fall-a-part Rabbit – Bonkers – A unlucky rabbit to say the least. Friend of Bonkers.T.Bobcat. Yes, I remember the old 80’s-90’s toons.
Little Bunny Fu-Fu – Nursery Song.. thing – He hopped through the forest picking up field mice and bopping them on the head. He wasn’t a very NICE rabbit.
Skippy – Robin Hood – One of the residents of Sherwood, in Disney’s version of the story. He idolized Robin and wanted to just like him. One of the first times a rabbit goes near a fox without being eaten.
The Velveteen Rabbit – The Velveteen Rabbit – Children’s story in which a toy rabbit wishes to be real. A real sad story.
The White Rabbit – Alice in Wonderland – Follow the White Rabbit. He’s very late. Led Alice into her physcadelic adventures in Wonderland, by accident.
Peter Cottontail – Part of an Easter song, led kids down the Easter Trail. I assume he is the Easter Rabbit.
