Animation Nation: Shown on BBC4, the Magic Roundabout was one of the many shows included in this hour-long programe. Animation Nation looked at the cartoons which started out for kids, but grew into cult wonders that adults also adored. Step up, Magic Roundabout. It didn't have a very large amount of screen time, but enough to give a jist of how people really did adore the show. |

Time Shift: Also shown on BB4, this hour long special was absed soely on the Magic Roundabout. It went into the pasts of the men and women that were involved in it's creation (and re-creation) as well as showing lots of eye candy archive footage, such as the first episode, in it's entirety. Each character was given a passing glance, and the good 'ol drug debate jumped up, as is to be expected whenether the words 'Magic Roundabout' are uttered. A great show. |

100 Greatest Kids Shows: As the title says, this Channel 4 show gave a rundown of the 100 greatest kids shows, as voted for by Joe Public. Simpsons got number 1, even if it is NOT a kids show, but there you go. Magic Roundabout scored a not-too-bad-at-all #11, remember this is out of 100, so I don't think ti did too bad for itself. As with most of the shows (bar the top 5) it only got a fleeting glance, but enough to see Dylan and Dougal, and, of course, the drugs debate. |

100 Greatest Cartoons: Another of Channel 4's rundowns, this one a little more recent. Battling with the likes of Shrek, Toy Story and the Simpsons (number 1 again, grrr!), the Magic Roundabout slid in at #36 , considering it was fighting against both cartoons and movies, it did pretty damn well. Included scenes from Dougal and the Blue Cat and, of course, the drug inudenoes, and a joke in Dylan and his namesake. |
