Reed Charles Davis was born on Tuesday, April 4th, 2000 at 7:11 in the morning. He weighed 7 lbs. 9.4 oz and was 20 inches long. The birth occured with no complications for the mother or child (or father), and Reed spent the first days of his life at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. All of his exams/series were ok and the peditrician can be quoted as saying that "he is more than fine." Linda and I are incredibly thankful, proud and tired right now, but we are also very excited. No one can truly believe the miracle of life until they experience the birth of their own child. What an amazing thing. Linda and I thank God for giving us our son and for keeping him safe and healthy.

Reed's name is a combination of family names from both Todd and Linda. Reed is Todd's mother's maiden name, and also the name of Todd's maternal grandparents and Great-Grandmother, (Reed's Great-Great-Grandmother). Charles is Linda's father's name, as well as a traditional name in her family for male children. Davis is from Todd's father's side, obviously. This young boy is fortunate to have all his grandparents, 7 great-grandparents, and 1 great-great-grandparent. As Reed grows older, he is sure to learn that family is a traditional value that is important to each one of us.
