In April of 1979, Kings Island unchained a brand new record breaking roller coaster...THE BEAST! It opened as the world's tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster. Today, it still remains the world's longest wooden coaster at 7,400 feet. Sprawling over 35 heavily wooded acres, The Beast utilizes the natural terrain to deliver a ride like no other! Speeding through the woods, Beast takes guests on a winding trip through dips, turns, and tunnels. Just when most coasters would usually return to the station, the Beast climbs a second lift hill. From the top of this second lift, the train gradually but continually picks up speed, until it blasts through a 540 degree, lateral filled helix! Think the Beast is good during the day? Try it at night!
